Driver Failed to Load – Guided Fix
Summary
If you see “Driver failed to load” (or similar wording) when starting the SecureCheats launcher/loader, work through this checklist. We’ll confirm that Windows is supported, dependencies are installed, security tools aren’t blocking files, and that overlays/capture apps aren’t interfering – before you try your cheat enhancement product (e.g., aimbot, ESP or wallhack).
What this error usually means
A required component couldn’t start. The most common causes are:
- Missing/corrupt prerequisites (.NET / VC++ / GPU driver)
- Security tools blocked or quarantined the driver or loader
- Overlay/capture apps preventing proper initialization
- Interrupted update/download (incomplete files)
- Out-of-date Windows build that’s outside supported versions
Quick triage (1 minute)
- Reboot Windows (clears pending updates & locks).
- Check Status → see Reading the Status Page: Undetected, Updating, Down.
- Close overlays/capture (Discord, Steam, GeForce/ShadowPlay, Radeon, Xbox Game Bar, RTSS/MSI Afterburner, OBS).
- Try the launcher/loader again.
If the message persists, continue below.
Step-by-step fix (about 6-8 minutes)
1) Check that your Windows build & GPU driver are supported
- Install pending Windows updates and restart.
- Update your GPU driver to a stable release (clean install if you recently changed versions).
- Details in Install Prerequisites.
Tip: If you just updated Windows/GPU and the error appeared, finish the steps below (allow-listing, overlays off) and then try a clean reinstall.
2) Install or repair prerequisites
- Reinstall the current .NET runtime and VC++ Redistributables (x64).
- After installing, reboot.
3) Restore and allow-list the launcher/loader
Security software often quarantines fresh downloads or blocks driver components.
- Open Windows Security (or your third-party AV) → restore anything quarantined.
- See tips on Antivirus or SmartScreen Blocked the Launcher: Restore & Allow-List.
- If you use Bitdefender/ESET/Kaspersky, please see guide above.
Only keep protections paused long enough to test; re-enable them after confirming that it runs.
4) Kill overlays & recorders (full exit)
- Fully exit Discord/Steam overlays, GeForce/ShadowPlay, Radeon, Xbox Game Bar, RTSS/MSI Afterburner, and OBS.
- See Overlay & Capture Conflicts to confirm that nothing is injecting an overlay or capturing in the background.
5) Do a fast clean reinstall
If a download was interrupted or partially blocked, files can be incomplete.
- Try a Clean Reinstall (remove, redownload, reinstall), then attempt to launch again.
6) Baseline launch (final check)
- Confirm your title isn’t Updating/Down on the Status page.
- Close extra apps; test with a clean desktop session.
- Run the launcher/loader normally (use admin only if your environment requires it).
If the error still appears
At this point, we need environment specifics to pinpoint the blocker.
Collect this for Support:
- Your Windows version and GPU driver
- A screenshot or short clip of the exact error text
- Any AV/EDR pop-ups or logs about blocked/quarantined items
- A short list of what you tried (from this page), in order
- Approximate time(s) you attempted and the Status at those times
Then: contact our support team and open a ticket. We’ll review and guide next steps based on your setup and logs.
