First-Time Setup Checklist (5 Minutes)

Summary

This is the quickest, safest route to your first launch. Follow the steps in order, keep apps simple on the first run, and check Cheat Status before you start your product.

Before you start (1 minute)

1) Download & verify (30 seconds)

  • Download the SecureCheats launcher from your order email.
  • Save it somewhere easily accessible (e.g., your Desktop).

2) Install prerequisites (1 minute)

  • Install the current .NET and VC++ Redistributables (x64).
  • Update your GPU driver to a stable release.
  • Reboot if any installer requests it.

3) Allow-list the launcher (45 seconds)

  • Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection and allow-list the cheat product launcher.
  • If you use a third-party AV, add it to the allow list there, too.

Tip: Allow-listing prevents quarantines and false positives that block updates or the first launch.

4) Turn off overlays & capture apps (45 seconds)

For the first run, fully close any app that draws on top of games or records the screen:

  • Discord overlay, Steam overlay, GeForce/ShadowPlay, Radeon, Xbox Game Bar, RTSS/MSI Afterburner, OBS (including background capture).

You can re-enable what you need later. First launch is about a clean baseline.

5) Check Status (15 seconds)

6) Launch sequence (1 minute)

  1. Run the cheat launcher as a standard user (admin only if your environment requires it).
  2. Sign in (or enter your key, if prompted).
  3. Let updates finish inside the launcher; don’t interrupt the process.
  4. Start your game per the on-screen prompts.

If anything stalls or errors occur, scroll down to If something doesn’t work below.

7) Check if it’s working (30 seconds)

  • Confirm the cheat product shows as active in the launcher.
  • In-game, check for the standard UI/overlay or confirmation prompt as documented in each product page (customer-only section).
  • If you don’t see these, use the checks below.

If something doesn’t work (2–3 minutes)

  • Error during start or update? Try a Clean Reinstall and confirm Install Prerequisites.
  • Still stuck? Use our Support Dashboard and open a ticket. Add: your OS version, GPU driver, brief steps tried, and a screenshot/short clip.
